Mini-Cooper by Zeon Tough Durable 2010-08-01 Tough Durable wee RC Mini H 9cm L 115cm W 9cm including mirrors, Lots of fun at a small price, High 2000 mh + rechargeable battery's a must for this Car, As said by others it eats battery's, not the 9v radio battery, but the cars 3 AA ones.
Good radio control car 2010-03-25 The description/picture for this car are wrong: 1) the controller looks completely different 2) the controller does not use 9v batteries 3) the car does not have working lights. The good news is that 1) the controller is more like a game controller and I think it's a lot easier to hold and use. 2) Although I had a 9v rechargeable, it is better that it uses 2XAA for most people. 3) Lights probably just drain the batteries faster. Battery life is good, even with rechargeables (2500Ah, non-premium). It's had eight hours use, a trip to school (!), all the rough treatment a (gentle) five year old boy (and a not-so-gentle seven year old girl and a definitely not-so-gentle professor) can hand out and it's running strong; still looks good. A radio car from Lidl a year back, similar price, only lasted a few hours before the controller fell apart (then the car was stepped on - I don't blame the manufacturer for that). Lights might have been nice for the younger one. Runs well on wooden floor and wooden deck, too. Great impulse purchase but make sure you have your batteries charged before it arrives or your children may burst! Manufacturers please note: all these little cars run too fast for anyone but fighter pilots! Please gear them so they're not so fast and maybe they won't run the batteries out so fast. The little ones will really prefer it, as will more elderly buyers. EXTRA: two weeks later and it's still running on the first lot of rechargeable batteries (nothing special, Lidl's cheapest). And, it's still running, too!
Nippy Mini 2010-01-15 Bought this for five year old, who had no problems mastering the controls. My only criticism of the car concerned the ground clearance. On Axminster carpet which does not have a deep pile, any thicker areas could cause the car to stop. Otherwise, a good buy and useful toy, although the on switch beneath the car is at risk of being left on which runs down the batteries.
Remote car 2009-11-19 The car is very good value as is quite a cheap remote control car. My 5 year old grandson thoroughly enjoyed manoevering it. Batteries run out quickly though be warned!!
Mini-Cooper by Zeon 2009-10-08 I gave this product to my 4 year old great nephew. He quickly mastered the steering controls but did tend to keep the car running at high speed. There were a number of crashes at first but neither the furniture or the car suffered. The only damage to date was a detached hub centre trim which was found on the garden path. The toy is robust, has a powerful enough motor and adequate controls. It was particularly good value at the reduced price.
